Bosch Fuel Injectors
Bosch is a recognized leader in fuel systems technology, with more than 45 years of gasoline injection system experience. Today, Bosch has produced over 1 billion fuel injectors, and has proven to be a reliable partner in fuel system expertise and the number one name in original equipment (OE).
When it is time to replace the injector,Bosch is the only choice.
Bosch Fuel Injectors offer many advantages, including:
1.Eliminating vapor leakage
2.Reducing carbon dioxide emissions
3.Increasing engine output
4.Optimum spray pattern for perfect mixture generation and efficient combustion, even for dynamic driving
5.Low consumption and emissions, particularly in the starting and warm-up phase
6.Improved cross-sections inside valves for outstanding warm-start performance
7.Optimum corrosion resistance due to high-alloy steels and plastic covering
8.Variable sizes of (the EV14) injectors, with multiple spray patterns which cover global platforms and meet the demands of all vehicle makes and models
10.Operates up to 2,050 bar pressure of injection which is equal to the weight of a sedan on the nail of a human
11.Multiple injections of up to 8/stroke
12.Has undergone hydro-erosion machining process for intricate hole size that is equal to one-third the human hair diameter.World’s most sophisticated common rail diesel injector design
History of modern diesel injection systems:
In 1922, Bosch developed a diesel injection pump. The diesel injection pump developed by Bosch miniaturized the traditional injection pump.
In 1927, Bosch Group founder Robert Bosch manufactured the world's first diesel injection pump and injector for trucks.
In 1994,UIS unit injector system
In 1995,UPS unit pump system
In 1996,VP44 radial-piston distributor injection pump
In 1997,CRS common-rail system,Bosch ushered in a new era of diesel engines and launched a diesel common rail high-pressure system, making today's diesel engines far surpass traditional gasoline engines in terms of economy, environmental protection and power.
In 2001,2nd generation CRS
In 2003,3nd generation CRS (Piezo injector), which was a major move in the field of diesel common rail injection technology.
In 2004,Denoxtronic 1
In 2006,Denoxtronic 2
In 2008,Denoxtronic for cars,Bosch and Weifu jointly developed a new common rail system CRS1.3 for the Chinese market, which is popularized in the commercial vehicle and passenger vehicle markets with lower cost and better performance.
In 2014,CPN5 high-pressure pump (2500 bar)
The Bosch Common Rail System consists of four core components:
1.the Common Rail Injectors
2.a High Pressure Pump
3.a High Pressure Rail
4.the Electronic Control Unit
The high-pressure radial piston pump generates the pressure in the accumulator (Rail) independent of engine speed and injected fuel quantity. The fuel, at pressure up to 1800 bar, is injected directly in the combustion chamber through the injectors. The whole process is controlled and monitored by the Electronic Diesel Control (ECU).
With this System, high injection pressures are possible at low engine speeds, a fact which leads to more complete combustion of the fuel. This equates to low emissions, better fuel economy, engine noise reduction and higher driving comfort. Bosch Common Rail System can be applied to a whole range of different engines for passenger cars and commercial vehicles.
Common-rail injectors
Injectors inject fuel right into the combustion chamber. They are supplied by the fuel rail
and via short high-pressure fuel lines. The engine control unit manages the switch valve
integrated into the injector thus opening and closing the injection nozzle. The switch valve
can be controlled either electromagnetically or by a Piezo element.
Unit injector system
The unit injector system (UIS) also known as pump/nozzle system is an electronically controlled diesel direct injection system developed by Bosch. At unit injector systems, the singleplunger pump and the injection nozzle are combined into a single unit.
The third generation common rail fuel injection system
The remarkable feature of the third-generation common rail fuel injection system is that the piezoelectric actuator integrated in the fuel injector body enables the fuel injector to open and close quickly. Compared with the best electromagnetic or piezoelectric control fuel injection system so far, the piezoelectric direct control injector common rail fuel injection system for the third generation of cars can reduce diesel exhaust harmful substances by up to 20%, and its The novel adjustment function helps to improve the metering accuracy of fuel injection quantity.
Since launching Gasoline Direct Injection (GDI) in 1951, Bosch has strengthened its position as a pioneering force in fuel systems technology by providing the most economic combustion for the gasoline engine to date.
It is predicted that by 2020 a quarter of all vehicles will be equipped with GDI technology — which aids in reducing engine size, while maintaining performance and increasing miles per gallon (MPG). By injecting a precise amount of fuel directly into the combustion chamber, fuel waste is minimized—producing outstanding performance and unmatched fuel economy.
The history of Bosch China can be traced back to 1909. So far, Bosch China has established 11 wholly-owned companies, 9 joint ventures and several trading companies in China. Bosch is vigorously supporting the strong growth of the Chinese auto market.
