How do I tell if there is damage to my manifold?
A cracked manifold will usually make some kind of unusual noise because some of the exhaust gases are being squeezed out of the crack instead of being expelled. This may be more noticeable when the engine is cold and first started, and may be anything from a clicking sound to a more pronounced whistle or whistling sound.
