Many customers wonder that how many fuel injectors in a car if they need to buy fuel injectors to replace by themselves. The easiest way to distinguish is that you can check how many cylinders your car engine have. How many cylinders decides how many pieces of fuel injectors your car will need.
If you have a four-cylinder engine, it will have one injector per cylinder. If you have a V6 engine, it will have two injectors per cylinder. A V8 engine might have four or more injectors per cylinder.
If you have an older car and want to find out how many fuel injectors it has, you need to start by checking for a code on the vehicle's computer system (called the PCM or powertrain control module). The code should tell you how many cylinders your car has. Or you can check your model at your organic official website to check the detailed specifications for your car.
If you don't have access to the PCM or want to do this with a manual scan tool, there are some other options. If your car uses overhead cams instead of pushrods, it's likely got two or four cylinders (most overhead cam engines are either four- or eight-bangers). If your car is a V6 or V8, look at the number of spark plugs (two or four). If it's an inline six-cylinder and has three plugs per bank instead of two, then it's probably got six cylinders as well.
You can also count the exhaust pipes coming out of each side of your engine block. Most cars will have either two or four exhaust pipes coming out of.
Or you can contact directly to our support team for help. We will confirm how many fuel injectors you may need.
