Which ECU ECM can WDPART supply?
WDPART currently offers Cummins ECM ECUs. A special class of ECUs is programmable; these units can be reprogrammed by the user. We provide two kinds, with programming and without programming for you to choose.

Symptoms of engine ECU damage?
These may include poor engine performance, stalling, misfiring, rough idle, poor fuel economy, check engine light, or failure to start. Some of these symptoms may also indicate other issues, such as faulty sensors, wiring, or spark plugs, so you'll want to rule out those before blaming the ECU.

How do I know if my car needs an ECU replacement?
The most common symptoms of a bad ECU:
Check to see if the engine light stays on after the reset.
Car jump started with reverse polarity.
The engine stalls for no reason.
Water damage or fire damage to the ECU.
Noticeable loss of spark.
Injection pulse or fuel pump is noticeably missing.
Intermittent startup issues.
ECU overheated.
